Share: Kathleen's Obituary Kathleen Therese Bialota, age 57, of Ocean Springs, MS formerly of Edina, MO passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, at her home in Ocean Springs. She was born October 13, 1960, in Quincy, IL, the daughter of LaVerne Edsel and Joyce Margaret Arnold Dabney. She was united in marriage to Michael Bialota and to this union two children were born. Kathleen is survived by her two children Corry Bialota and Natalie Bialota of Ocean Springs, MS, one brother John Andrea Dabney of Milan, MO, two sisters Kristin George Dabney Hendrix of St. Peters, MO, Karen Rob Myers of Hannibal, MO, one grandchild Ashton Horn of Ocean Springs, MS, and niece and nephews, Ryan, Dominic and Marian Dabney and Jack Myers. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Kathleen was raised in Knox County, MO where she graduated from Knox County High School. She attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, MO and graduated from University of Central Florida in Orland, FL with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor in Music. Kathleen had a passion for teaching children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and was a presenter at the national convention for Division TEACCH. She relaxed listening to opera and gave countless piano lessons. An accomplished musician, Kathleen was a church organist at every parish where she lived and was a Benedictine Oblate. Growing up, Kathleen worked at her parent's Ben Franklin Store and became endeared to all she met. She deeply loved her family, being so proud of her children, granddaughter, siblings, niece, and nephews, always following their activities. She especially received great joy from her granddaughter, Ashton, a bright light in her life. Kathleen truly loved God and it was evident in the way she lived her life. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, kindness, generosity, and gentle nature. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 A. Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, MO. Father Colin Franklin will officiate the services. Burial will be in the St. Music will be provided by Jim and Kyle Clark vocalist and Beth Frye organist. Casket bearers will be Mike Dabney, Kirk Dabney, Marc Dabney, Chris Dabney, Craig Harrison, David Sharp, Kirk Rourke and Dan O'Brien. Honorary bearers will be Jay Dabney, Tom Warren, Rob Myers, George Hendrix. Visitation will be held after 4 p. Monday, February 19, 2018, with a Rosary being held at 6 p.
